The Pirate Bay
Posted April 17, 2009 3:12 PM

Hats off to the crew of The Pirate Bay, who lost their case today. The four were sentenced to one year in jail, and fined $3.6 million. It is disturbing to see the trend to blame the technology itself rather than those who abuse it. Of course, everyones big question is... what about websites like Google.com, which also index illegal material automatically? Hopefully, people will eventually wake up and stop taking crap from a corporation funded by our dollars.

The Pirate Bay doesn't seem all that concerned, and continues fighting with appeals. The website is still up and running. This was a loss in the lowest level of Swedish court, which it seems like was somewhat expected.

Updates and News
Posted April 10, 2009 3:46 AM

I made a couple behind-the-scenes updates to the website that should make updating the navigation links easier, and at the same time I fixed the gallery link which seems to have been broken for quite some time. Don't get too excited... I haven't put many pictures there. Me, organize? HAH! I also updated the anime section. If you watch anime, I highly suggest you take a look at the new listing for shows coming out in Spring 2009. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood !!

I also made some updates to the code section a while back. I've begun working on a 3d game. We're looking for members to help out, so send me an e-mail with some sample stuff if you're interested. You can find the project website here.

Updated Anime List!
Posted October 7, 2008 6:06 PM

I looked through my DVDs and hard drives to find all the anime's that I currently have and rewrote the anime list. This page still has not been tested in IE or checked thoroughly for bugs. Let me know if you happen to find anything and I'll add it to my to-do list.

New Design!
Posted October 4, 2008 12:26 AM

Behold! This is the new look for Glorf.com. The previous version of this site was disjointed and unorganized. I finally got around to designing a new look for the page and will work on reworking all the stuff I have to fit into this one new theme. This design is fresh, and I didn't spend a great deal of time on it, so I'm sure there is a bug or two in here. As of yet, there is no php, sql, javascript, or anything fancy at all going on here. I plan to keep it that way since I don't really want to spend the time and I'm perfectly happy editing the page by dreamweaver. I will likely look into some sort of simple photo gallery and/or file gallery with an upload feature for quickly indexing pictures and other files.

The idea behind the new navigation is to focus on those things that I typically use this space for: A list of animes that I have downloaded or plan on downloading, several small programs that I have written and/or other programming related endeavors, a gaming area mainly to keep updates on my teamspeak's status, and perhaps a gallery for files and images should I find a good script. I will also add some sort of contact... either my e-mail or some sort of message system.
